Memories

I am such a sentimental person. I will keep anything that I believe has a memory attached to it. That why this year I want to do a few more things to look back on and remember all of those memories.

Starting off with journaling. It's  something I've wanted to do for absolutely ages now. I just never got around to buying an actual journal.
At the beginning of this year I went out into town and brought myself just a simple purple note book. Just because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a book that I wasn't even sure I was going to write in.
I told myself that I would write in this book everyday of 2015.... Yeah that didn't happen. I wrote in the journal on the first day of the year and haven't wrote in the book since.
I've been beating myself up about it, but now I'm thinking that I should just write in it when I feel like it. I shouldn't force myself to write something everyday.
So that's what I'm doing, I'm writing in the book when I want to and when I have time too.

As well as my purple notebook, I got gifted a listography for Christmas by my dearest friend Sian. So I've started to fill that out. That way at the end of the year or anytime I can look back on the lists; seeing what I put as my favourite TV shows of all time were at the time. Or what the best moments in my life were or are going to be.
I really want to get more of these listographys, I think they are so fun and such a good thing to look back on.
They also make really good gifts.
This is my listography

I also have a photo album which I am determined to fill up with pictures of me and my friends. I really want to take more photos this year and what better way to look back on them than putting them all in an album. Rather than having them on my phone and forgetting I have them, I seem to do that a lot. I see photo albums as a form of journaling.

I would also love to start a scrap book to keep all my gig tickets and other memories in. We'll see about that one. I would love to because I have a Polaroid camera and I'm running out of room on my wall to hang them up. It would be nice to stick some in a scrapbook. The thing holding me back with this one is I don't think I'm creative enough.
My Polaroid wall.

This part of my room makes me the happiest. When I look up at it I remember the memories behind each picture. I love the quote too. It's from the song "The Glass" by The Story so far. I love that it reminds me that I have these amazing memories, with these amazing people in my life.
It makes me really thankful for what I have every time I look up at it. I thought I'd add it because this is my favourite thing to look at and remember memories.

Anyway the point I've been trying to make throughout this blog post is that it's important to have memories and thoughts to look back on. To help you remember what thoughts and memories made you into the person you are. However you can force yourself to write down things or stick things in a book. Find a way that works for you because it is amazing to see how things have changed over time.

Do any of you have a journal?
Do you journal in any different ways that I should know about?
How do you look back on memories?

Thanks for reading!

The pretty little truth

I've been watching pretty little liars since last summer. As soon as I watched the first episode, I was hooked. There were so many unanswered questions and I just wanted to know more.

Now since they have just come back from their mid-season break I thought I would do a little review on the whole show.

The four main girls. Spencer is on the left. The blonde is Hanna. In the middle is Aria. Emily is on the right.

Pretty little liars or PLL is based around a group of five girls from a small town called rosewood. The four main girls are, Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer. They are all high school students and a very closely knit group of friends. The 'leader' of the group, Alison, goes missing one summer.
Then an anonymous source starts to send the girls messages about all they're secrets, that only Alison knew. Signed with -A.
A for anonymous or A for Alison. Who knows?
The show is mostly about the girls trying to find out who A is with some great side story lines which I love.
I won't say anymore because I don't want to give anything away!

The show is gripping and intense, they always know how to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.  being left on cliffhangers almost every episode, only making the audience want more and wanting answers. I know for sure I always want the answers to the questions.

The couples in this show are so adorable. I love all of their relationships and how they are all different.

Aria and Ezra. My otp.
They're adorable!

The one bad thing I would say about the show is there are still unanswered question from the first season that until now still haven't been answered. I really hope they have some sort of idea to reveal the answers in a sort of shocking way. I think that would be better than just being told the answers.

Also the show may start off a little slow and it may be a little hard to get into, but if you stick with it you'll end up obsessed with it.

Being half way through their fifth  season pretty little liars is doing incredibly well and it's popularity is still forever growing. I have always liked how they still keep the show suspenseful because I know it can sometimes be hard to do without it getting boring.

As I carry on watching this show I just love it even more. You can really see the character development throughout all the episodes let alone from season one to five. I love all of the actors/ actresses, I really think they play their roles all too well. The four main girls are amazing actors as well, I couldn't think of better people to play these parts.
My favourite character is Aria. I like how she's different and I lover her personality. Lucy Hale plays her incredibly well.

Aria played by Lucy Hale.

I don't really have a bad thing to say about this show, it's my favourite and I don't think there will be a day when it isn't. I just hope they answer all the question before the show really comes to an end.

I really really adore the message of this show. Or the message I get from this show. Which is friendship is everything. I relate to this show a lot, not in the way that my life is being tormented by A. In the way that friendship is such an important factor in life. All the girls have such great chemistry and I love seeing that.
As a media student I can really tell when actors/actresses don't get along behind the scenes. I can really tell all the crew are really good friends. Being a fan of all of them, that's amazing to see on screen.

If you haven't watched this show I strongly recommend you give it a watch. Not only does it have an amazing story line but it is amazingly made also.

All five seasons can be show can be found on the UK netflix. I'm sure it's also on the US netflix.

Go watch it!

Mac Diva Review

Like many other girls I have become obsessed with Mac lipsticks. I'm just intrigued by the amount of colours and I just want them all. I blame my cousin, Moesha, for all of this. Before her letting me try one of hers, I wouldn't even think about spending £15.50 on a lipstick.

Look at me now. Wanting to spend my whole months wages on lipsticks and having to force myself not to.
I don't have many because I still am a student with only a part time job. Therefore, I don't have a lot of money to spend on lipsticks. However much I want every single colour from Mac, it just isn't really realistic.

I'm making this post about one particular lipstick that I recently received as a gift from my friends, Evie.
The colour I'm talking about is Diva.
Diva is a matte formula and it is just the perfect colour.
Here it is, my new fave.

It's a beautiful deep burgundy colour. For me that's the perfect colour all year round.
Some people would probably say this colour is just for the autumn/winter time. However, me being me, I would wear it all year round.
I just love dark colours on my lips, they really suit my skin tone.
How Diva looks on my skin tone.
Oh yeah this is what I look like, obviously.

The texture of this lipstick is so nice considering it is a matte lipstick. I thought it would dry my lips out, but nope. It didn't do that at all, it did the opposite. My lips stayed soft all day and that was through eating, drinking and all the daily things people normally do.
Also the packaging on all of Mac's products is just flawless and so classy. So not one flaw there either.

I personally think this lipstick would suit all skin tones. I think it would look beautiful on paler girls because of the deep tone.
How Diva looks in the bullet.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this lipstick, it is just great. I think it has to be my new favourite lipstick. Bare in mind I only got it about 1 week ago. That's how in love I am.
Love yourself and buy this lipstick!

Just another day at the office.

I started to watch the office US a couple of weeks ago now. I'm already half way through season 6.
I'm reviewing this programme because I absolutely adore it.

The programme itself is based around an office and all the people that work there. Obviously Jayley, it's called the office.
Anyway throughout the seasons the story lines do carry on. However in every episode there is a different storyline, that then adds to the bigger picture which I love. From Michael's stupid ideas. To Dwight's beet farm. To Pam and Jim's relationship. I love every episode. I also love all the character, each in their own way.
Cast of The Office US

I found out about the programme because in class we watched the UK version. My friends recommended that I watch the US version. Since we have sort of the same humour I gave it ago.
I am now absolutely hook on this programme.
The UK version is funny but I don't know to me it just isn't as funny as the US version.

I love how it is so offensive but also not to over the top which is hard to find in TV now a days. Strange that I love how it is offensive, but I love that sort of humour. However, if you do get easily offended this might not be the show for you.
Each to there own, but I think you really have to take the humour of the programme with a pinch of salt.

I love Michael so much, he's so funny and probably my favourite character. I think it's because he so over the top for the boss of an office. I also love how they also put more professional bosses in so the programme in contrast to Michael. I think that makes it funny.
Michael Scott - Boss

My next favourite character is Dwight. Just because he is so dumb but so smart at the same time. I love the character. I also love the fact they have developed his character over the seasons. I love how you never know what he is going to do next. Also how he is such a different character to everyone else.
Dwight Schrute - Sales

Of course I couldn't do a review without mentioning Jim and Pam. In this show they were always my otp. They are perfect for each other and I love both of the character because they are different to everyone in the office.
I love scenes between these two and Dwight. I love the fact that they all have such a weird friendship. They're scenes are hilarious.

Jim Halpert & Pam Beesly - Sales (Jim) & receptionist (Pam).

This show is such an easy watch and it is so funny!
I think the main reason I do love the programme is because it is an easy watch. It isn't too intense.
I really recommend it. Of course it's up there with my favourite programmes.

Lasting finish 25 hour foundation review

Like many other people that are into beauty, I have tried a air few drugstore foundations and have either been really impressed or very let down.

First I'll tell you about my experience so far with drugstore foundations. I have tried so many and a lot of the time they don't seem to get along with my skin type. My skin is oily and I have struggled with acne most of my teenage life, so I need a foundation that covers up the imperfections. Most of the time and this is the case with foundations, will be gone from my face by the end of the day, I don't know about you but that isn't what I want from my foundation.
That is until I found revlon colour stay, which I find amazing (just like many other people do).
I had been loyal to colour stay for a while and wanted to something new that didn't involve spending a whole months wages on.
This is when I came across Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour foundation. It's like £8, so it's not busting the bank and it works with my skin amazingly well.

Now I didn't set my hopes too high for this product because having tried Rimmels match perfection and having it fail completely on me, I wasn't looking for that much in this foundation. However it completely surprised me.

First thing about this foundation is the colour match to my skin is perfect. It matches me so well and throughout the day as it wears it doesn't turn into a orangy colour like some other foundations I have tried. However I will say that Rimmel don't have the best colour range, so I'm lucky to have found a shade that works without having to mix two colours together.

The other great thing about this foundation is how smoothly it goes on and actually how long it does last. I haven't wore it for 25 hours so I can't really say if it last that long but it has stayed put on my busiest days without having to reapply which is a huge plus for me.
As well as the foundation saying on I don't get super oily and shiny skin because of it. Of course I get a little oily but I get a little oily with mac foundation and that's higher end.

The one downside I have to this product is the packaging, there is just something about it I don't like, it looks cheap and I really feel that this foundation deserves to look more expensive than it is.

Other than that I don't have a bad word to say about this foundation, it now stands up there with colour stay as my favourite drugstore foundations.

A lot more coming up on this blog soon!
